I.  WHAT IS AN EDUCATIONAL DVD?
An Educational/Institutional DVD has a special Site License that allows for Limited Public Performance within a school or organization.

II. WHAT ARE PUBLIC PERFORMANCE RIGHTS?
Public Performance Rights are special rights that allow for the public performance of a particular Cinema Libre Studio title(s) to an audience outside the privacy of your home.  These types of screenings are typically one time events, festivals, or semi-theatrical screenings.

III. WHAT IS A SITE LICENSE?
A Site License grants the right to use and screen an Educational/Institutional DVD at the primary place of business for your College, University, K-12 School, Research Institution, Grassroots Organization, Library, Non-Profit Organization, or Venue.  A Site License is also granted for Exhibition Rental DVD (see formats below) for approved screenings larger than (50) fifty individuals.  If you plan to use the Educational/Institutional DVD at another location or as part of a screening to an audience larger than (50) fifty individuals, special arrangements need to be made with Cinema Libre Studio.  (See contact information below.)

IV. WHO CAN BUY AN EDUCATIONAL DVD OR PUBLIC PEFORMANCE RIGHTS?
Any institution or organization in the world is eligible to purchase an Educational DVD or Public Performance Rights for Cinema Libre Studio titles.  Our pricing structure (see below) is divided into two groups: Colleges/Universities and Non-Profit Organizations/K-12/Public Libraries. Some restrictions may apply.

V. WHAT ARE THE EDUCATIONAL DVD LIMITED PUBLIC PERFORMANCE RIGHTS?
The Site License allows your organization to exhibit the film to small audiences free of charge within a classroom setting.

    1. Audience. The Program(s) listed on the Invoice may be exhibited to an audience of no more than (50) fifty individuals.
    2. Admission. Public Performance of the Programs must be free of charge.
    3. Advertising/Marketing/Publicity.  The Public Performance can only be promoted to members of the purchasing organization and cannot be advertised to the public.
    4. Venue.  Projector and screen must be located in the same room of 50 or fewer seats.

If you plan to show the film to a larger audience or plan to charge admission, special arrangements need to be made with Cinema Libre Studio.  See Public Screenings below.

VI. WHAT IF I WANT TO SCREEN THE FILM ONE OR MORE TIMES TO A LARGER, PUBLIC AUDIENCE?
In order to screen the film to an audience larger than (50) fifty individuals, an additional screening fee (see pricing structure below) MUST be paid in advance to Cinema Libre Studio.

  • No Admission Charge. If you are not charging admission to your screening, a flat fee of up to $500 will need to be paid in full before your screening. See below for pricing structure.
